This was my final project for my first year at school. Our solar system with our sun and all 9 planets…Yes I still do and always count Pluto as a planet not just a “dwarf planet”.
This is a pendent. With a use of lots of metals, sterling silver, brass, copper, titanium, gilded metal, nickle and 2 different metal alloys of copper and silver I made. The piece is fully kenetic. The sun and planets all spin. And each ring spins independently. Also the bail spins.
Each planet was all hand made from sheet, which was cut and domed and soldered. I will get close ups of Jupiter and Neptune a they have mixed metal rings on them.
I am extremely proud of this piece. I can’t wait for next year and see what it brings.
